My Bio
I write, I draw, I do photography. Anything that lets my creative juices flow after (and sometimes during) my terribly mathematical work day.

Favourite Visual Artist
This varies by medium and my mood. I don't think I could even pick a genre or style. Generally I like evocative and comprehensive works with a clear subject. Not much for abstract.
Favourite Movies
Unabashed superhero movie lover. Also love kids movies and fantasy stuff.
Favourite TV Shows
I watch a lot of procedurals/crime shows. Also like some comedy stuff, some fantasy/sci-fi stuff, and a lot cartoons-for-adults.
Favourite Bands / Musical Artists
Big Bad Voodoo Daddy is probably the only one still actually around. I like classic rock/oldies, jazz, early funk and R&B. Pretty much most of the stuff I grew up with that was more a product of my parents' times.
Favourite Books
I read pretty much anything. Fantasy is almost always a winner. Sci-Fi is usually pretty good. Historical fiction can be great. Most slice-of-life/bildungsroman/everyday drama stuff will work in a pinch.
Favourite Writers
As per the above, there's a lot that I like. Classics from my childhood include Brian Jacques, Mercedes Lackey, Anne McCaffrey. More recently, I've enjoyed C.J. Cherryh, Solzhenitsyn, Tolstoy, and Munro. I'm also quite particular to good fan fiction.
Favourite Games
I'm not much of a gamer, but I do enjoy hidden object games, some RTS and TBS games, and things like Torchlight and the Elder Scrolls series.
Favourite Gaming Platform
PC all the way, with occasional use of the Wii or XBox for particular games.
Tools of the Trade
Pencil, paper, coloured pencils, Photoshop CSwhatever-we're-on, camera, watercolours and acrylics
Other Interests
Animals, books, music, drawing, writing, reading

It's alive!!!

Yes, I'm alive.  University is just one busy term after another.  I actually haven't had a term off since Fall 2008, so that's why I haven't been updating much at all.  I'm finishing my B.A. in less than two months and then will be moving on to a Master's (M.L.I.S.) for a year (during which time, I'll be back in London).  I've posted a few pics of the pets, partly because I think they're good pictures and partly because I want to show off my pretty babies! In the meantime, here's a massive quiz so that everyone can catch up on my life!  Yay!!! 1. One of your scars, how did you get it? Two-person saw attacked me. 2. What is on the walls of

2008

It's a New Year and therefore a new semester at school, a new job and a whole bunch of other new things. My school life is looking like a lot of work but also a lot of fun.  I've got Criminology, Psychopathology, Chaucer, Lit Criticism and Russian Thought and Culture.  It'll be interesting doing two classes on criminal behaviour/mental disorders.  I promise I'll try my hardest not to go insane :P I'm looking at probably working part-time at an on-campus Tim Hortons this coming term.  For those of you not in the know, Tim Hortons is Canada's most common coffee and donut shop.  And apparently the correct spelling of "doughnut" is "donut".
